Salted Caramel Meringues

If you have seen my other food posts you will know I'm a big fan of meringues and salted caramel so why not combine them into one?! This recipe couldn't be simpler but still look (and taste) amazing.

    To make these you will need;
    • White of 4 eggs
    • 200g sugar
    • Prepared salted caramel 

    1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees
    2. Beat egg whites until it is thick and soft peaks form.
    3. Gradually add sugar, one spoonful at a time. Beat until glossy and stiff peaks form.
    4. Place the mixture onto a tray covered with baking paper 
    5. Drizzle the caramel sauce on each lot of mixture and gently swirl it in.
    6. Bake them for 20-25 minutes. Turn off oven, allow to sit in the oven for another 20 minutes.

    If you wish, you can drizzle them with additional caramel sauce. Enjoy!
