Q&A

I've finally got round to doing my first Q&A so thank you for all your questions! Here goes, hope you enjoy...

What's your favourite shop at the moment?

I feel Topshop will forever be my favourite, I could buy everything from there, not that my bank balance would let me.

Are you planning to go to university? If so, where and what are you going to study?

I am yes. Come September, I'll be at Northumbria university in Newcastle studying fashion communication. You can read all about my applying to university process here.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life?

My favourite meal is probably a roast dinner, it doesn't feel like a Sunday without one. But if we're talking one item of food then definitely Krispy Kreme doughnuts, no shame.

What is your goal for your blog? What do you hope to achieve from it?

My main goal is to create more and better content, being a student means I have to juggle both and for now, college work is more important but I love blogging and have been overwhelmed by a number of people that read it. However, I would still create all of this content even if the only person who read my blog was my mum haha. I would also like to try some different kinds of blog posts and maybe start a series of posts, watch this space.

What's your favourite thing about blogging?

The ability to be able to write and photograph absolutely anything and everything I want. It's just somewhere to dump a load of ideas, write them down, get them out of your head and if other people end up taking something from it then that's just a bonus.

Where is the next place aboard you would like to visit? and your favourite place so far?

I would love to visit Barcelona and it's definitely next on my list but the favourite place I have travelled to so far is South Africa.

Why did you start blogging? What was the motivation back then and how has it changed?

By the time I finally got round to starting a blog I had been thinking of doing it for a while but was worried what people would think. I was seeing lots of other people taking these amazing photos and creating content and I knew I wanted to do that. I love photography and like the idea of having all this stuff to look back on and to see how I've improved. My motivation now is to just keep making bigger and better content as well as improving my photography and writing skills, it's all just one big learning curve and I'm learning all the time.

Where, who, what do you draw your inspiration from?

I do draw a certain amount of inspiration from other bloggers. Sometimes I see a blog post and it sparks an idea in my head for something to write about. I also draw inspiration what surrounds me on a daily basis. If I've been loving a product or baking a certain thing then I like to write about that in a blog post for other people to read. I have a list of ideas that gets added too everytime I think of something I could blog about.

What camera do you use to take your photos?

The camera I use is the Canon EOS 700D/T5 however, I flick between lenses. For close ups and flat lays I use the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 lens because the depth of field on this lens is amazing but sometimes if I need the distance, I'll use the 18mm -55mm kit lens that came with the camera. I do also have the bigger 75mm - 300mm lens but I don't use this lens that often for my blog or Instagram photos.

Favourite outfit to wear?

My favourite item to wear is probably my Topshop striped trousers because they're so easy to pair with anything to create an outfit. I have also been loving dungarees recently!

What's your favourite makeup product?

I'm gonna have to pick my Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick highlighter. My sister brought me this for Christmas a couple of years back and I use it nearly every day (whenever I put make-up on) and there is still loads left.

How do you get over bloggers block? Do you any rituals when you sit down to write your blog?

I've touched on this in an up and coming blog post but I never force a blog post. If I don't know what to write then I just leave it and come back to it another time. I don't really have a 'routine' for blogging. I blog when I can between college work and work but I am trying to get into a routine of having a post up every Monday.

Thank you if you sent me any questions via my Instagram post or via DM's. I'm sure I'll be doing another Q&A soon!

  1. I'm glad I got a mention! I love reading your blog...and, despite thinking that I 'know' you, your blogs frequently reveal an interesting insight into your world. Keep blogging as I'm really going to miss the chats come September. Mum x

  4. I can't get into a routine either. I know people say to post on certain days all the time, but I just can't. It puts too much pressure on me and takes the fun out of it, so I just try to post 1-2 times per week. Love your outfit, btw!

    1. Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I feel it could become too much like a deadline if I got into too much of a routine. Thank you!
